Hello Everyone,
We are dealing well, aren't we? When we do design? Yes! When we do print? Yes! When it does work? Not every time.
Designing and printing should be a good combination if reliability is needed. It is like a basketball player's shots. The player thinks, calculates and shots. Therefore, when we design something, we should also do a calculation to have accuracy.
Let's see my experiment based on the pictures above. I designed a keychain and I printed it without calculation. I know that it should be a minimum of 2mm for not to bend easily by a hand force. It was strong enough; but, I forgot something: Key chain's ring thickness!
Because of the metal ring's thickness, I broke the weakest point of the chain called NECK! The neck was smaller than I expected; thus I must do a bigger and stronger neck. To do so, I measured the metal ring thickness and played with the number of neck fillet. (It was 1mm and I changed it to 2mm.)
Does it work now? After printing... ;)
Update: It is stronger and works perfectly! (Check up the last pic.)
