A Little Bit Engineering-2 (Making Sample)

Jan 17, 2021

Hello Everyone,

This time I will talk about making a sample for a project.

First of all, we should spend some time to make a sample for a project. Let's say I am building a project and, it will cause me three days of printing and 300 grams of filament; and, the subject is a phone holder. I spent my whole time drawing, plus waiting for printing it. In the end, the print was perfect, strengthened, and it has an excellent shape, but something is wrong: IT IS NOT PRECISE!

So, I'll send everything to the garbage, or keep them on an empty shelf to see my fault every day. If everything was good, what was the mistake? Before questioning the source of the fault or making some calculations, I made a sample. (Don't worry, I made many mistakes by forgetting or not checking the dimensions. I will talk about it later.) As you see above, I didn't build the whole project. I made the general holding part for the bottom of my mobile phone. It was even wrong. Then, I checked the dimension, and I made another sample after being sure. This time it worked perfectly.

Now I know that I may spend one hour to print the trial and be sure if I am in a better way or not. So, how did I deal with the sample? What did I exactly do? Read the next article=>>
