Project 1: 3D Printed Bottle Shaker Ball

Project 1: 3D Printed Bottle Shaker Ball

Jan 25, 2021

Hello everyone,

This time I will show a project sample for new learners. It will be very shortened and brief.

This project came to my mind after I couldn't see a bottle shaker ball when I bought a protein bottle (or a gym bottle you can say). Then I thought how could I make this ball. You can see the manufacturing steps below (Case Study) :

1) SAMPLE DESIGN SKETCH: Only think about your project: Sketch Work.

2) CALCULATIONS: Calculations should be close to the real results. Measure the bottle's lid width, the subject ball's imaginary dimensions.

3) COMPONENTS AND MATERIALS: In this case, we have only one component: The Ball. The material should have food-grade approval because we'll use it for shaking the protein-water mix. What is more, the material should be strong for keeping its shape against hit, water, temperature, etc. Thus, PTEG is the best material for this project.

4)DRAWING: Now, we can draw our idea by the CAD Program. In this case, I used Fusion 360.

5) DOCUMENTATION AND REPORT: Simply, I opened a BluePrint document to check the details.

6) MANUFACTURING: I used CURA to check the material size, weight and printing time.

7) REDESIGN IF NECESSARY: I observed the quality of the product. It wasn't what I expected. I revised my work, closed the center hole, and printed it as 1.5x bigger than the first revision.

8) QUALITY CONTROL: I checked the quality of the material. I compared real measurements and the drawing. It was
