Vivek in Assam, movie based on the life of great Ahom general Lachit Borphukan.
Recently, Vivek Oberoi has visited Assam to attend the cultural exchange program of different ethnic communities of the state ‘Xohudar 2020-21’ at Jengraimukh in Majuli district of Assam.
He was one of the invited dignitaries of Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal at ‘Xohudar 2020-21’ held at his native place Majuli.
While his visit to Assam, he was seen driving around in the serene tea estate of Assam.
Vivek Oberoi has praised the current BJP led Government in the state, he said incumbent Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, did a lot for the tea estate workers of Assam. He further added, the present BJP Govt has given all the basic necessities like housing, ration, and had even increased the daily wages of the tea estate workers. Which he said is a great achievement of the BJP Government.

Vivek, In his twitter account has tweeted, “In the serene tea garden of awesome Assam. Soft breeze and captivating smell of tea leaves leave you enamored.” The natural beauty of Majuli, has mesmerised him.
While he has also announced to make a movie based on the life of great Ahom general Lachit Borphukan, with over 70% artists from Assam.
Lachit Borphukan (24 November 1622 – 25 April 1672) was a commander in chief of the Ahom kingdom, present day Assam. He is known for his leadership in the 1671 Battle of Saraighat, that thwarted an attempt by the Mughal force under the command of Ramsingh I, to capture the Ahom kingdom.
Vivek another tweet with the photo taken together with the Assam Chief Minister. He took to twitter to praise the CM of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal. His tweet said, “Always a great pleasure meeting my dear friend and big bro “Xorbada” the dynamic and extremely dedicated CM of Assam @sarbanandsonwal. It’s awesome to see such an honest, down to earth and simple CM@BjpAssamPradesh”
CM, Sarbananda Sonowal also took to the twitter to express his gratitude to the invited Dignitaries. He has tweeted, “Glad to inaugurate Xohudar 2020-21 with Union MoS Shri @Rameswar_Teli, MP Shri @KamakhyaTasa, noted actor Shri @vivekoberoi at Jengraimukh, Majuli.”
He further added, “I express my gratitude to artists from 39 communities across Assam who graced the event and made it a grand success.”
