What if God stood before you...
You sense His presence...
Then you come to the understanding of how holy He is.
Holy beyond holiness!
Pure beyond imagination!
A God in whom there is no darkness.
Then you come to realize, and it hits you hard. Even though how good you seem to be, you cannot stand your ground. Your sins appear before you...
One by one. All in vivid clarity!
With a broken heart you say, "I am a sinner. No better than anybody I know."
And in that moment of deep reflection, sorrow and regret, you cry out to God...
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR I AM A SINNER!
You cry out to God from the deepest recesses of your soul, LORD, FORGIVE ME!
Then at that moment, in the midst of your cries for forgiveness and mercy...
You sense HIS LOVE and HIS EMBRACE.
This Holy God so pure in holiness would embrace you and love you and wants nothing more but for you to love Him in return.
Wouldn't that make you love Him more? Wouldn't that make you renounce your sins? Wouldn't that make you want to live your life to honor Him?
But the truth is... GOD LOVES US SO MUCH! That he gave His Son Jesus to die on the cross for us. Pay for our sins and is now waiting for us to respond.
So what if God decides to meet you today? After all, He is there where you are! Would you want Him to?
He's just a prayer away...
