Whether in sports or elsewhere in life, we think that the right procedure, the right systems, guarantee success. This is not always so. Sometimes we fail despite putting in place the best plans and the best systems, and sometimes we do well despite not putting in place the right systems and planning properly. Therefore, judging plans and systems by their outcome is not the right way to go about things.
