Hello we are the Broadhead family, Leanne and Julian and our three children, Holly aged 11 and twins Poppy and Lilly aged 5. We are documenting our journey here in the south of France, about trying to start a brand new life, restoring a small run down chateau and trying to establish a brand new small farm.

Last year we moved from the UK to France after being sick and tired of being tied to a desk and a gruelling monthly schedule.

So after six years renovating in the UK, we packed up everything we had, to follow a crazy dream of downsizing and becoming small farmers in France. Yet, our story took a crazy twist and after a chance encounter, we ended up buying a very rustic small chateau, in the south of France, close to the Pyrenees. Now we are renovating again, on a much larger scale, with a very small budget and all by ourselves, while at the same time trying to take care of our 30 acres of grounds and also establish a small farm to become more self-sufficient.
