(Tomorrow is the 2019 UK General Election. Are we going to choose to serve God’s values or those of the minions of Satan?)
I really don't like scaring anyone but on reflection perhaps it's necessary occasionally. Perhaps especially tonight..
I was just re-reading about the eugenics program that originated in (mainly) California in the 1920s and was later pushed into overdrive by the Nazis in the 1930s.
It was backed by the corporate billionaires of the time (Rockefeller, Carnegie et al.) whose theory was along the lines that talent and poverty were passed in the blood. The same theory expounded here by corporate-billionaire-backed Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (by the by...)
“Like it or not, the free market economy is the only show in town. Britain is competing in an increasingly impatient and globalised economy, in which the competition is getting ever stiffer.
No one can ignore the harshness of that competition, or the inequality that it inevitably accentuates; and I am afraid that violent economic centrifuge is operating on human beings who are already very far from equal in raw ability, if not spiritual worth.
Whatever you may think of the value of IQ tests, it is surely relevant to a conversation about equality that as many as 16% of our species have an IQ below 85, while about 2% have an IQ above 130. [According to the Guardian, Johnson then asked whether anyone in the audience had a low IQ. To muted laughter he asked: "Over 16% anyone? Put up your hands."] The harder you shake the pack, the easier it will be for some cornflakes to get to the top.
And for one reason or another – boardroom greed or, as I am assured, the natural and god-given talent of boardroom inhabitants - the income gap between the top cornflakes and the bottom cornflakes is getting wider than ever. I stress: I don’t believe that economic equality is possible; indeed, some measure of inequality is essential for the spirit of envy and keeping up with the Joneses that is, like greed, a valuable spur to economic activity.”
I was thinking that maybe some of you would like to have a read of this article..
…before private U.S. interests (Pfizer) take charge of our health service.
Here's a couple of teasers from the article:
"The Harriman railroad fortune paid local charities, such as the New York Bureau of Industries and Immigration, to seek out Jewish, Italian and other immigrants in New York and other crowded cities and subject them to deportation, trumped up confinement or forced sterilization."
"The Rockefeller Foundation helped found the German eugenics program and even funded the program that Josef Mengele worked in before he went to Auschwitz."
Don't have nightmares (I know that's a big ask, considering..), just use YOUR power (your vote tomorrow) to stem the resurgence of this odious and frankly, wrong ideology - at least long enough for your kids to say, “it could never happen again”, just like our grandparents did.
