As humans we often focus on what we don't have rather than what we do have. I think it's a natural thing for us to do.
I went for a run this evening on the promenade in Umhlanga Rocks; the weather was nice and moody, the ocean looked spectacular, and I had a moment where I actually realised just how blessed and lucky I am.
I live in a country with the most incredible beauty. My body is healthy and (relatively) fit. I mostly do what I love to do. I have amazing parents and friends, I have beautiful cats which are my everything. I am so incredibly lucky, and I am grateful.
I'm not where I want to be in the greater scheme of things yet, but I'm working towards those goals. I figure, never be complacent and always try your best, but also be grateful.
Life can be challenging, but at least it keeps things interesting... Keep working towards the future, but be grateful for what you have and how far you've come.
