The starry night, original of Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most recognized and famous paintings of our era, it was painted when the master Van Gogh was voluntarily held in the sanatorium of Saint-Rรฉmy-de-Provence in France to mid-March of the year 1889. This painting has been reproduced in innumerable occasions, especially in our days where it has become so commercial that it has been reproduced in clothing, home accessories, countless replicas, and references in digital illustrations, among others. Currently, the original painting is exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in the United States, has a size of 73.7 cm ร— 89.2 cm.

This work is quite small and therefore, more complicated, being a phone accessory its size is quite small and in addition to that I had to work the painting in a vertical format, having to relocate the elements of the painting trying not to get too loose from the original work, I drew a quick sketch with a soft blue color to avoid contaminating the colors that would shape the painting later.

The sky, being the most characteristic detail of the painting, was the first thing I painted, meticulously working on the details, trying to assimilate the strong brushstroke that Van Gogh used in his original painting to be able to replicate it in this miniature using colored pencils. I started painting the central spiral of the sky, which represents the arms of the galaxy, using blue and white, and from there, the rest of the sky began to take shape always using that strong texture, characteristic that gives so much magic to the original painting.

Finally, I painted the cypress that divides the sky and joins it with the earth, with green, brown and black colors, using longer and wavy strokes, and from there, the space in which the mountains were located and the town became simple From work, I managed to locate the missing elements and proceeded to paint the mountains, with a blue hue, then the wheat fields and the bushes at the foot of the mountains and finally the town.

At the end of the painting, I took the measurements of the holes in which the camera and the speaker of the telephone were to be located, thus giving the final finishes of this small accessory.
