Day 3 of poison Ivy clean out and I’m waning a bit. Everything hurts….even my thumb which got ppricked by something on Day 1. Perhaps playing Jane of The Jungle wasn’t very smart. 😂😂😂 My left butt is a bit colorful after a vine gave way much faster than I thought. I fell on a metal chair and some scrap metal which I had not removed yet and I have no idea why there was so much stuff thrown in a pile behind the house. Perhaps it was tossed back there prior to trash and lawn waste pick up. Stupid chair is now ready for the scrap metal yard Monday along with the other metal my butt though…😂 ouch The layer of shingles I found in what has become an archeological dig got tossed in a garbage bag. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I’ll probably feel better after coffee ☕️ . The creeping crude aka poison Ivy on my body does not like being covered up during the day. I’m going to wash all my gear this morning and see if I’m in a better mood post coffee. My wellies finally gave out all the way. I’m super bummed about that. They will be sent to the garbage after all this is completed. 😢
It’s almost all cleared and done. I just don’t want to hurt myself and have no way to call anyone. I’ve been trying to keep myself busy. Thankful and grateful for power but miss being able to call my folks and share my poison Ivy progress.
all the waste bags will be broken up into a couple of yard waste pick ups. I’ll put about 20 out tonight along with the trash, recycle, and 3 yard waste bins.

poison Ivy vines and other vines I sawed or clipped at the base of all the trees hasn’t died yet though. Today I will be attempting to remove more vines in the trees by climbing on the fence, and balancing with a rake. What could go wrong? Nothing… 🤣☠️
Here are some video stills from my Oompa Loompa dance and Jane of the Jungle reenactment. It’s going to look so much better and the birds seem to really like it being cleared out. I’ve been trying to get a picture of a blue bird I have been seeing in the yard, a woodpecker is up in one of the trees this morning but they are so hard t see, and a heron of some sort took a stop on the pier but I couldn’t get a photo of it because I can’t touch my phone while covered in urushiol.
