Hi everyone, I'm David from Malaysia and I used to be a travel writer before I semi-retired and started to focus on bird watching as a hobby. Now, this little hobby has led me to create my own little portal and I have dedicated the rest of my retirement years towards promoting bird watching in Malaysia and around Southeast Asia.
While this is truly a very niche subject and hobby, there are actually many who have picked up bird watching and bird photography in the last five years or so. Thanks to the massive advancements of camera technology and of course, social media.
So, while the pro bird watchers and photographers are already way up there, I decided on creating a platform called Bird Watching Asia to promote bird watching in Malaysia for starters.
The website and blog focus on areas around Malaysia that is suitable for bird watching and all of the info there is personally experienced by me, hence it is not something like those "table writers" so, sitting at a desk and scraping the internet for content.
Basically, I travel to all of the places and share my experience on the logistics, when to go, what to see, who to engage and so on. I won't claim that I am a pro in this, but I am trying my best to sustain this platform solely on my own. Therefore, if you are a bird watcher, photographer or nature lover, please do help by supporting my cause.
