WHEN DID DEF LEP POD BEGIN?

WHAT IS DEF LEP POD?

It’s the officially unofficial Def Leppard fan podcast. In the beginning the episodes were song-by-song deep dives, which explored the story of Def Leppard in new ways. We still do (and love doing) these as they are at the heart of what Def Lep Pod is all about. However, as the Def Lep Pod community has grown, the podcast has evolved and now episodes include discussions with a range of contributors on all things Def Leppard.

WHY DO YOU NOW NEED TO BE BOUGHT COFFEE?

This may be the worst sales pitch of all time, but we don’t ‘need’ it and don’t buy us a coffee if you can’t easily afford it. Def Lep Pod will continue even if no one buys us a coffee. The podcast is a fan’s labour of love, motivated by creating something other Def Leppard fans can enjoy too and just having more Def Leppard ‘stuff’ out there in the world. Listening and simply letting other people know it exists is ‘all we need’ (new album reference!)

However (there’s always a however), if buying us a coffee or supporting regularly via our Gods of More membership is something you can and would like to do, this will be used to subsidise some the costs of running the podcast (and now YouTube). This includes things like platform-hosting payments and hardware (mics etc). Breaking even after a couple of years of doing this would be cool.

WHAT’S THIS ABOUT YOUTUBE?

Def Lep Pod is new to YouTube and still getting to grips with it! The podcast remains the heart and soul of what we do, but we’re trying out some shorter bits and bobs separately on YouTube to help plug those gaps between podcast episodes. Make sure you subscribe and like.
