I can't answer for anyone else. Though, I do hope some of you will respond to this. I'm curious as to what you have to say. As for myself. For privacy & safety I'm not going to give my name right now. I will say this, my first, middle & maiden name are of French origin. My dad, especially, wanted my names to be French. He was & so am I, proud of our French heritage. Though, having done a DNA test for Ancestry, I discovered I'm nowhere near as French as I originally believed. That will be a post for another time.
I don't believe my dad knew what my name meant. Even so, it turned out to be very appropriate. It means, strength. As a 3x cancer warrior (currently with stage 4 uterine), multi abuse survivor (starting with my mother), having been homeless, I definitely needed to be a strong. To the point I've had a difficult time asking for support. That's one of the things I've been learning as I go through inner work & healing. That & how to trust more. Though I wish I hadn't experienced some of the things I have, some good has come from it. I will be sharing that another time as well. I've never really cared for my first name, but it's definition is part of what keeps hope & faith alive for me.
