A change to December’s Festive Open Mic ...

A change to December’s Festive Open Mic Salon

Dec 13, 2021

 December’s Festive Open Mic Salon

Tuesday the 14th of December, 2021, 6pm, on Zoom

Now the Bells of Advent are ringing, our December Salon has a festive feel, with an Open Mic presentation of Christmas stories and poems.

For December, we’re ringing the changes a little. We’re still going to have an Open Mic evening, where some of our friends and members will share their writing, whether poetry, prose, or spoken word.

We also having to call another change since we don’t wish to fall foul of the latest variant of Covid-19, so we’re reverting to a Salon from Your Home.

If you have got a ticket for the in-person event, don’t worry – we will send the zoom-link to all ticket-holders with the final reminder e-mail. The original timings will remain the same, but you will have to provide your own wine reception. Why not make it mulled, while you mull over who you might have been mingling with at the Outhouse!

We will open the zoom at 6.45, and the Open Mic will begin at 7pm for just an hour, after which all online attendees are welcome to hang around in the zoom for more informal chatter. If anyone has information to share we can have Notes of Interest.

How it works...

6.pm:              Wine Reception at the Outhouse Your House
6.45pm:          Open the Zoom – Welcome and Introduction
7.pm:              Festive Open Mic – with Anita Govan as MC
8.pm:              Mingling and break-out rooms for more chat*

Tickets are available from Eventbrite – select either ticket type!
All Salon Events are free, and we encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund our work.

Don’t forget our lovely anthology of writing from our friends and members, Lost, Looking & Found. You can purchase a copy from our shop in time for Christmas.

We look forward to seeing you in the zoom-room!
