I work on building open source security tools and believe in open information
Scylla started as a project to simply to make database dumps available to the infosec community. Blackhats have this information already - several others have this information as well, but are too afraid to share it.
The goal for Scylla is to make this information easy to access for all and allow others to advance the state of the art in password dump research. We need real defense research in this area too. Scylla will not only make this available to legitimate researchers, it will undercut the underground economy selling this data.
Unfortunately hosting this amount of data and normalizing it for API use is costly. Hosting costs are around $3k/mo and rising as I index more data and I can't do this alone! If you'll consider donating, it would be a huge help to the project and you have my sincere thanks.
