1/19:
It's wednesday, my dudes (and dudettes, if you will)! That means..... that's right! Tomorrow is Thursday! And THAT means I begin my journey back to Florida!
(Insert obnoxious bell-ringing!)
I'm actually ecstatic about the trip home. It feels refreshing to return to a place of familiarity after being away for a season. This was my first time ever living anywhere outside of Florida and I loved it. It has since given me a greater appreciation for the place I took for granted for most of my life. I can't wait to see friends and family once again!
I owe a huge chunk of my gratitude for my closest and sincerely one of my best friends, Erne. She pulled a string or two and I'll be returning to Florida to start a position as a carpenter for the Asolo theater, Sarasota Opera House, and Van Wezel! First gig sounds like fairly simple work just assembling furniture for the Asolo, but as a new union member it will beuch better pay than any job I've had before. That simply excites me for the opportunity to move towards my goals at a much faster pace. Can't wait to start and can't wait to meet my new co-workers in the field.
Right now I have about a 5-day road trip ahead of me spanning from Chandler, AZ to Sarasota, FL. I should be making a stop in Dallas to visit some more family along the way and have a place to stay there for a night before moving on. Can't spend too much time lolly-gagging along the way because I start my new job Tuesday morning!
It seems like things are falling into place finally and I feel uplifted and motivated! Before long I'll be back to honing my passions and free to jump between them as I see fit and accept as part of who I am. In this life there will be many interests that pull me in different directions. Instead of fighting that to focus solely on one, I embrace it and let it take me with the current!
Can't wait for what's in store for me this year.
