Life is too short to let it be ruled by clutter, disorganisation or hoarding behaviours!
However, for many people, living chaotically is a chronic problem which can affect their safety, health and wellbeing - and potentially lead to lives being lost.
Knowing
who to talk to and w
hat to say about this very
emotive subject can be difficult and embarrassing, which is why we created the
Hoarding Icebreaker Form.
It's a FREE downloadable tool that de-stigmatises clutter-related issues, and empowers you to start a conversation with a trusted person (like a GP or other medical professional) and start the process of accessing treatment and person-centred help and support to make you feel better and stay safer.
Because it's not about STUFF, it's about the PEOPLE!
Clutter, disorganisation and hoarding behaviours are physical representations of what's going on in a person's mind. They are usually caused by a combination of Executive Dysfunction (impairments to our ability to carry out activities such as planning, organising, making decisions, time management, multi-tasking, impulsivity/inhibition, etc) and trauma.
Hoarding Disorder is a classified mental illness, and doesn't just affect individuals, it affects families and communities too - especially if a fire starts, or patients can't leave hospital because their home is unsafe (you may hear it referred to as bed-blocking or delayed-discharge).
So please, we'd love it if you would be so kind as to buy us a coffee (de-caff white, no sugar please!) to help us stop the stigma, and help people who are unwell, overwhelmed, vulnerable, withdrawn, depressed because of they're living in chaos.
And that includes family and friends affected by clutter-related issues.
Please, help us to help them take control, start living safely, and start living a happier, healthier life.
Thank you, and cheers!
