Preparedness Tip#22 - Your Exposure to CI

Understanding and accepting that Critical Infrastructure (CI) underpins society and therefore needs to be the foundation of your preparedness plan is essential. Now we look at your exposure to the different sectors of CI. We will over time examine each one in detail, but the process is to evaluate how much of your normal life can be influenced by this CI. Specifically, to what extent do you rely on this CI to execute your normal day to day life. For example, do you take public transit daily as your commuter? If so, you have significant exposure to the transportation CI, which means we will later consider how you can mitigate that exposure and develop a plan to continue with your normal life if that is no longer available. That's exposure - some CI will be inconsequential and some will be a high degree of reliance. That is why we treat each of them separately.
