Preparedness Wrap Up #3 - Govt & Location

This week we covered many aspects of the government - from their plans to act when a significant disruption occurs, their actual EM capacity - not fire EMS, police, but the embedded professionals that will lead the response and the angry aspect. How far is your government prepared to lean into your life and curtail your ability to act in order to "protect" you? These are essential items to know in order to inform your preparedness plan. We finished off the week with considerations about your home and transportation. You chose to live where you do and as such have assumed certain risks, whether it be high-rise, high density, duplex or single family dwellings. Understand those risks and the transportation primary and secondary options are all critical. Reflect on that, consider what the external world will do and offer in a disruption.
