It's so great to discover Buy Me A Coffee and to have a profile here to share my art and creativity!
Here is my newest artwork, called Bright Side, that was completed in November this year. It's an artwork promoting strong mental health for improved wellbeing and it uses a mix of found and donated materials and traditional bought materials. There are words incorporated into this piece, to form a positive and uplifting message.
The base is a stretched canvas and the materials used to create this were acrylic paint, gold and silver glitter, costume jewellery beads, metal jewellery chains, building adhesive, gloss varnish and magnetic strip words.
I want this artwork to show that behind any positive image, lies adversity and yet people can grow beyond their struggles, both physical and emotional, to achieve great things. This is not a superficial 'you can do this' message but one that celebrates us a whole person with struggles and goals and if we face life with a smile and optimism, anything is possible.
