Today, I want to share some Tips that i use every day to improve my drawing Skills! You should try this too! Alright~ Let's roll it!
1) Draw Every Day!
I always do my 10 minutes Drawing Routine. I draw some simple sketch or doodles. Don't worry, just move your hand and start to create! yeaaaaa... Just draw anything that you like... Use your imagination or you can search for reference images orrrrr you can draw whatever in front of you! Example, a vase, flowers, books or furnitures orrr building! Just Draw~...
I always draws by following the references... Because i kinda lack in my imagination... huhuhu... But i never give up! I will keep powering my imaginations by search for more references and start creates unique and exclusive art! Yeaaa, That's the spirit!... Who's with me?!
It doesn't have to be a difference sketch or drawing every day, it's also can be a common drawing... So, just enjoy your time to draws... No pressure, just do it and feels it!
For me, the result doesn't matter because it's process of learning.. Just belives in yourself, keep draw and draw~ Do not Give up! Trust me... Yeayyyy! We will Win this together!
2) Be Patient & keep dedicated!
I know... I feel you... I was impatient person.. hahaha.. #was ... But now, i kinda loves what i'm doing.. I felt so happy cause when i be patient with my art, i always get the best result... Yeaaa, it does takes so much times sometimes like a week, a month of waiting and keep continuing drawings piece by piece, adding more color, more details butttt the final result will amaze you... Trust me, just start to build a "patient" in yourself... This is important to make you better and better at drawing~
3) Please, don't be afraid to make mistake~
Many people lose their confident when they make mistakes but don't worry... Making Mistakes kinda special to build perfection in your art or skills... For me, when you make mistakes, you will keep alert, recognize your weaknesses and learn from it! Then, you will avoiding the same mistake and do more less mistake... And that's will make you a better Artist!
4) Immerse Yourself...
Sometimes, you need to learn to low your EGO and stay humble by looks for the others artist art works or achievement. For me, drawing is a skills that you need to blend or gain and it's not automatically you born with... Even, you are talented since you in middle school, i belive that you need to polish your drawing skills or learn more techniques to build perfection...
Artists put an hours practice to get the result they want by hard-working and dedication. There is no reasons you can't do it! Looks at the other artist, find something or drawing that inspire you and try to learn from it~
This really benifits you and help you improve!
5) Finding a Style~
Everyone always trying to find their unique art style. Don't worry, just keep experimenting and practicing! You also have to explore difference medium and allow yourself to try in new way or new method... Just move slowly, find a way to get out from your comfort zone if you really want to find your own art style... But, no rush...
In addiction, doing this method can unlock your hidden potentials... So, it's a good way to improve your skills!
It's not necessary thing to find a style. Finding a style and stick into it is being comfortable. Once you get into that position, you might not want to move on and improve the varies...
Don't be under pressure to find your own style, just enjoy the process.. Alright?~
6) Use Everything that you have or available...
Alright... This is important point to discuss. Just use everything that you have. Okay?...
For beginners, you can just use the very basic tools like pencils and paper (sketchbooks) !. Actually, this two tools is so helpful to improve your drawing skills... For me, I don't want to use too much money to buy art tools that i won't use... so, i just use whatever i have now... and spend my money if i really needs it... Because i'm not a crazy rich asian people, hahahaha....
Beside, i always looks for reference images from Pinterest, Googles and Instagram.. Don't worry, It's Free! And i really recommend it!... I also use my books or mangas collections to be my reference...
For anatomy practice, i use body kun and sometimes i use mirror... hahaha... looking at myself and say "I'm Bloody Gorgeous!" hahahha!... It's a joke, i'm sorry~
I always get jealous by the peoples or artist who using pen displays by Wacom... I just don't know why i'm so jealous maybe because I only using pen tablets, Wacom Intous - S- Bluetooth (Berry color). Or maybe i always saw the differences feels when they using pen displays... The touch and the result kinda more advance than using pen tablets... Don't get me wrong, I really loves my pen tablets, but i also want to upgrade my tools to get a better experiences! Actually, i really loves this digital tools but i kinda want to try draw on display tab, Wacom one or Cintiq! I really admire this digital tools! Hahaha, I can't afford to buy them cause I'm now a freelance Artist... Kinda struggle saving money to buy them... But it's okay, cause i'm never give up! I will fight! It's kinda true... One day, my dreams will come true~
