Often when I am feeling overwhelmed, and stressed from the amount of work and extracurriculars I have on my plate, I typically tell myself, "there just simply isn't enough time in the day!"

Does this sound familiar to you?

Whenever I am spiraling into these thoughts I always find myself comparing my 'hectic' schedule to that of a CEO of a massive conglomerate. For some reason, this has always helped ease my stress regarding lack of time.

As busy as a day that I may have, I am not responsible for millions of employees, like Jeff Bezos is for example, yet we both have the same 24 hours in a day.

So what allows Bezos to feel like he has an adequate amount of time each day to accomplish all of his daily tasks? Does he wake up at 3 am, and work for every second of his waking hours?

Not quite. In fact, it's just the opposite. Bezos gets no less than 8 hours of sleep every night and likes to take his time in the morning. He doesn't even set up his first meeting until at least 10:00 am!

Bezos realizes that we can't be robots, and work 24/7. We need to set realistic boundaries for ourselves and do something that we love each and every day. When you are taking care of yourself, and prioritizing your mental well-being you will in fact be able to get more done in the hours in which you do need to work, and you will feel at ease with the amount you can accomplish.
