Amelia is Kora’s best friend in The Forgotten Arts. I’ve pulled together a glimpse into who she is, while showing off our first official piece of art of Amelia, brought to you by the incredible Inessa Burnell!
Keep in mind that we won’t be going too in depth with her personal history, since much of it is involved in the story of The Forgotten Arts, and we don’t really want spoilers here! Besides, a girl should have a few secrets, should she not?
Appearance
Amelia Corwin is the very vision of natural beauty. She’s often been told that she should work as a model, to which she just laughs and shrugs. This is not to say that she does not agree. She’s well aware of the allure of her slim, yet generously proportioned figure. Add her bright, emerald green eyes, silky blonde hair, and her sharp eye for fashion, and it’s no surprise that she is such a head turner.
But this is not to say that she does not work hard to maintain these looks. Even the keenest knife loses it’s edge without regular sharpening. Amelia is a master of such arts. Her nails and makeup are always perfectly maintained, even when just enjoying a cozy day at home. She’s always up to date with the newest trends and techniques.
But her pride and joy is her hair. Every day she takes great pleasure in composing a new, bold style to complement her arsenal. She also enjoys taking her styles to the next level with a playful splash of vibrant coloring.

General Characteristics and History
Amelia is strong, confident, and intelligent, though it can be difficult to get a read on what she is thinking. She is clearly wise beyond her years, always ready with a well-placed word of advice. But Kora can’t shake the feeling that lately there is something Amelia isn’t telling her. What could it be? Kora couldn’t begin to guess.
While Amelia clearly has a great deal of pride in her looks, she doesn’t let it go to her head. She simply enjoys feeling the eyes of others on all her hard work. If that means she is vain, she can live with that. Everyone has a vice, after all. But, she is quite earnest in her affection for Kora. She’s never taken her for granted and always takes time out of her busy schedule with classes to spend time with Kora.

And she does have quite the busy schedule. Amelia is in her second year at Ahasteno University, but with double the standard course load. She has a deep interest in psychology and theoretical physics, and aims to earn a degree in both in four years. Why? Well, why not? They are fields she finds truly fascinating. As far as she is concerned, she has the time now to pursue them, she might as well take advantage of it.
