This song "Up the Noran Water" appears on my album "A Celtic Voice" released on 30th November 2018. I heard this song from the signing of Jim Reid (1934-2009), who put the music to the words of a poem by Helen Cruickshank (1886-1975) about a young Angus Mother. (Shy Geordie is the poem) Jim Reid was one of my favourite Scottish singers and I was glad to have had the privilege of his company on a few occasions. Even sharing a stage with him at a concert on a few of the occasions. You can buy the album online from all the usual digital suspects and also on CD direct from me using the website links below.
This is the first time I added lyrics text to a video. I think it worked out quite good and I might re-think some of the earlier videos I put out. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for supporting my creative potential using Buy Me a Coffee. It's a great way to encourage may activity and keep away the darkness.
I'll use this opportunity to point you to my other websites so if you like Ceilidh music get over to Iron Broo Ceilidh Band and check out the video library, free sheet music and audio clips and our CD shop.
I also have my very modest Charlie Abel website and please remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit that like buttons :-).
I'll try and keep ye all up to date with my projects as we move along. There is quite a lot planned for the next few months so I will be very busy. A few Coffee's wouldna go a miss.
Thanks for paying attention :-)
A' the best,
