Bringing Bothmer® Movement to your home

Bringing Bothmer® Movement to your home

Mar 28, 2020

In light of current events and the reality of self-isolation and home-quarantine, my Bothmer Movement (a meditative movement philosophy) weekends and get-togethers worldwide have had to stop for the time being. Inspired by other work that I do online, I've decided to take this meditative movement online using Zoom.

There are a few reasons for this:
1. For keeping moving and practising
2. For staying in touch with everyone and feeling more connected to the world and like-minded people
3. For healing the earth and ourselves: Collective movement, consciously intending to connect with others across the planet, creates a unified thought/energy field that can open space for positive change.

By moving together every morning, we stay positive, stay active and stay connected, and we fill our hearts with joy and love, which ripples out into the world around us.

At various times, I've spoken about consciously moving in nature, and about coming back to our own sense of authentic self in partnership with nature and planet Earth around us. When we are truly connected to ourselves, we are present in the world in our own unique vibration and frequency. Everyone has their own unique frequency, like a string on an instrument, and when we are all in-tune with ourselves, we can be in tune with each other, and be in harmony with the Earth (the instrument that holds each of our strings in place).

With everything happening at the moment, we are being invited to come back home to ourselves, to stop, be still and listen in to our hearts. What better way than to do this together through meditative movement?

Every weekday at 8am GMT (UK time), myself, Kevin Davidson and Susan Kelly will be leading/hosting various Bothmer Movement sessions online using Zoom. The sessions range from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, and some are up to 60 minutes. It's simple movement, you can follow along, there's no talking and no one will see if you mess up.

The movements are adapted for your sitting room, lounge and kitchen, taken from the 32 exercises of the Bothmer® Movement philosophy which stems from Anthroposophy (wisdom of the human being) and Waldorf Education. We had the first one on Friday 20th March, Spring equinox in the northern hemisphere and it filled my heart with joy to be connected with so many.

Sending love and hugs to all, and I invite health, harmony and warmth-of-heart for each of you, your loved ones, your communities and your countries.

Stay safe, stay light, and shine your Love out bright
