I feel like you will need a bit of context for this one.
These are lucky crepes (actually pancake, but I do my crepes personally right in between crepes and pancakes). The first time I heard about this, I was probably around 10. It is said that doing crepes on Friday the 13th is going to bring you good luck. For it to work, you actually have to keep the first one in your pantry or any other safe place. (And surprisingly, it will not mold!) You have to replace it every Friday the 13th for it to keep bringing luck. If you break it, it is believe to bring bad luck. (It becomes very crispy/ brittle)
Now, do I firmly believe to it? No. But it was always a very pleasant thing to eat sweet crepes as a diner. For a long long time, I had a sacred shelf in my cupboard reserved for my lucky crepe.🍀
And no, they were not green, that was just to make the lucky part very obvious 💚
