Day 5 of The 100 Day Poetry Project.
Repeat after me: As long as I'm breathing, I will fight for my life. FIght cancer, fight racism, fight abuse and fight fear, fight for what you know is right.
This poem is a little bit me (conquering abuse and fear) and a little bit my cousin Sandy who has a brain tumor and is fighting cancer. She said to me after surgery: "I'm going to fight for my life." This poem just flowed out of me.
