24 February 2022 (his wedding anniversary) found David in Kyiv waking up to the sounds of Russian rockets hitting a strategic airfield - the war on Ukraine had started.  


David and his team where in Ukraine to evacuate Ukraine families of colleagues. 


That day lead to an intense 40-hour escape from Kyiv to Bucharest (the last 10 miles to the border on foot). Having found safety, through David’s military background he his team re established their ongoing mission to continue the evacuation of people from Ukraine as well as supporting those who are unable or unwilling to leave. And since then…
