My second child, Grace, was born by emergency c-section. She came into this world early at 4lbs 10 oz.
Her mother lost a lot of blood, nearly 4L and is still in the hospital due to complications. Your prayers and thoughts and concerns mean everything to us. Grace is doing fine. She lost a little weight in her first few days, but is thriving now at home away from social workers, bigoted nursing staff, and the post partum team at the Royal Alex that is still effectively using “Birth Alerts” to steal Indigenous children and rehome them with white families.

Charges of neglect from a social worker on my daughter’s medical file because her mother lost too much blood, took too long to resuscitate, and too many hours to recover.
ICWA (Indian children welfare act) was the right way to go in the USA, and to stop the theft of Indigenous and BIPOC children, we need similar, better, and more protective legislation here in Canada.
As far as I’d fight for my boy, I’d do anything. I’d fight for my daughter just as hard.
