Jacob’s white cell count isn’t bouncing back as quick as the doctors would like. So, treatment delay time. Like any good 12 year old, he’s thrilled to get a break for an extra few days. I don’t blame him.

Because life, the universe, whatever it is, cannot seem to give me a break, my wife is now hospitalized at 34 weeks with severe pre-eclampsia. Another learning curve. Another thing I feel completely helpless over. All I can do is be supportive, cross my fingers.

This is my entire little family. My son. My wife. My daughter on the way. All at risk right now.

It used to be something we said as kids about the weather. But now it’s my life. When it rains, it pours. I could use some help.
