#toetappingtuesday again!! This time I raided the vault at MSU and dug into the Gordon McCann collection.
Today's treat is a good ole Fashioned Fiddle Contest recorded a few months before I was born.
"The tape was [recorded] by Art Galbraith given to Gordon McCann in 1990. Gordon states that there was some trouble with the recorder, some tunes were skipped. There were 70 contestants present from 14 states."
Gordon McCann is somewhat of a local hero around here for all us History lovers and quite the accomplished musician. I've heard Gordon play several times now and have had the pleasure of meeting him at least twice.
Since this is an audio recording, you can just play it and sit back or be productive doing somethin' else. Enjoy.
