I get asked this alot! Here is how a regular ball becomes fabulous:
1. I take the ball apart and clean it up. I remove adhesive from the back of the cover, strings from the holes, and logos from the front of the cover.
2. I put the ball cover on the hoop for my embroidery machine. This is tricky! I have to make sure everything lines up properly.
3. I run my machine and make a fantastic design!
4. Time to put the ball back together. This takes skill and patience and TIME. Hardest part of the whole process.
5. I clean up the finished ball by removing extra strings. And there are always tons of tiny little strings to trim.
I love making these balls, and really consider it an art. No two balls behave the same.
