Turning lemons into lemonade

Did you know that the Victoria station was opened in 1969 and was named after The Queens Mothers, mother - Queen Victoria! Gosh that was a mouthful!

Anyway bless that lil ol lady. Personally, I love The Queen and she’s the perfect age to be my friend because I love old people. Talk about taking lemons and turning them into lemonade. Listen, no one wants to 20, in love with that sexy blond husband of hers (may his soul rest) then to be told you gotta step up your uncle didn’t want to do the most important job in the land lol!

Because he was is love!

It almost sounds ridiculous but that changed the trajectory of what her life may have been. Or maybe this was always her destiny if you believe in that sort of thing. You see the thing is, we may be all comfortable in love, eating pasta and drinking cocktails but remember you still have a destiny somewhere in there and it may not be the one you banked upon.

If the queen of England didn’t let it get in the way, neither should you. You can still do all the things and feel complete in all areas of your life, of course the queen has drivers and butlers to support her cause but remember she still went through it - having to make shit decisions, isolation, philandering wayward, but sexy husband (may his soul rest), seemingly benign of flaws and opinions, even folk at the higher echelons of society have to put up with this behaviour people. I wouldn’t choose that life especially in earlier years but whether you like the queen or not, patriotic or not, conservative or not, as a woman, the lady has done good for her 97 years on earth. May she live more years to celebrate her wonderful little cute self.

I understand that many of us are pissed that we had to pay for this celebration. What was it 12 billion of taxpayers heard earned cash? We'll never get it back, and after two years of no economy its a pretty expensive party to put on!

Listen, I have nothing against the royal family as a whole. Prince Harry has some pretty radical energy I enjoy; but I'm not particularly a massive fan of the institution because I'm about reciprocity. What are the people getting out of this family? Nostalgia and history to share with visitors to the country? It seems like a very one sided relationship which as we know under any circumstances does not work.

Regardless of how we feel, she sure did turn those lemons into lemonade and gave us Brits two extra days of rest…

God save our Queen.
