Ala – An Illustrated Life

I ask his name “Ala !” he says. “Ah! Arab !” I say. He shows me the middle finger and says “No! Kurdistan !” Given the troubles his people have been through, an understandable reaction. Today he travels the world seeking answers.  Photographed at a cafe,  in Penang, Malaysia.
