I write mostly Georgian/Regency era, set in England and Poland, largely romance with a dash of adventure or mysteries with a dash of romance, but I also write early Tudor mysteries, and a couple of alternate history timelines, with magic, in the time of Elizabeth I, and without magic in an alternate 17th century Poland.
Yes, I get a bit of political commentary slid slyly into my work, and social commentary. My hobby horse is people, mostly women, empowering themselves in bad situations. And I lost count of the times I have 'killed' my abusive grandfather in fiction. I write for myself and for my husband. It's always lovely when other people like what I write.
