Wild fire on the other side of mountain.
I am camping at Turquoise Lake near Leadville, CO. The altitude is over 10,000 ft., pine pollen allergy is bothering me and now a wild fire?
When I woke this morning I thought it was someone's campfire. There was some white ash on my solar panels and the view of the mountains a bit hazy.
I don't have cell service at the campground so I drove into town to research nearby fires. This is the Sylvan Lake fire. It is currently about 25 miles away.
Tonight I will keep the car packed just in case an evacuation occurs.
Pollen, altitude and smoke? Who needs to breathe anyway?
