On to Taos, NM

Sep 29, 2021

I am camping at the Rio Grand Gorge near Taos, New Mexico. It only costs me $3.50 a night with my Senior Park Pass. It has water, heated restroom, trash dumpster, picnic table and a metal shelter on each site. It is also right next to a river!

This is quite a luxury for me. Usually, managing each of these things is a chore.

I left the last spot near near Santa Fe because the weather forecast showed a week of rain. I was not comfortable being on that dirt road all alone and in the mud.

.........

After an afternoon rain in the new campsite , a fellow camper went to the restroom. As he came out, the camp host was on his way into the rest room with an armload of toilet paper.

"Are you Joe Smith?" the camp host asked.

"Yes, I am." Responded the white haired camper.

"Wow! The last time I saw you was 50 years ago in Architechture Class! I am Bob Blah."

"Oh yeah! I remember!"

They chatted until it started to rain again.

I sat amazed, as always. (Master Easedropper)

Update: They have been getting together each day to hang out and talk. I just think that is so cool.

...

Now I am off to the laundromat, Walmart etc. Yuk!
