Santa Maria

Santa Maria (Spanish: Santa María, St. Mary) is the flagship on which Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492. It was a three-masted karaka no longer than 25 meters. The length of Santa Maria in various sources is estimated at 70 feet or 82 feet, which is, respectively, 21.4 meters or 25 meters, with a capacity of up to 40 people.
