In February I wrote 15599 words on the vampire book, the bounty hunter story that’s set in the Penal Earth universe, and I worked on the project for the publisher.
That averages down to 557 words a day.
I edited 27821 words which was all on the vampire book.
That averages 993 words a day.
I had a few ups and downs in February but it felt good getting stuck back into the vampire book, I’ve not touched it for quite a while and that break away from it has been a breath of fresh air. I’ve got a lot of work to do on it. Mainly because I’m changing the perspective from first person to third, and just story tweaks. A lot has changed since I wrote the original drafts. We all grow over time, and that goes into writing in both in ten years of writing and learning my trade while also as a person. Our life experiences affect our art and who we were a decade ago, and who we are now are two very different people.
I also sent off the zombie book to the editor, eagerly waiting to see what she has to say.
Overall, February was a solid month for me. I liked what I managed to get done. A few times in the months I felt a little lost with what I was doing. But I stumbled my way through (gotta figure out a way to stop stumbling and get better organised).
In March, I’m going to aim to stumble less!
