For my 100th post, I just want to express my sincere gratitude for your support.
Really.
Those years without work or audiences; all the while getting notifications that dear friends of mine were being taken forever by the headlining ailment, and venues I used to play in were shuttered for good... took a toll that my closest has recognized to be lingering with me still.
To be perfectly open, I am still struggling to get myself back, but I am ever closer. I am not sure that I can ever articulate my personal experience but I know I have more to share.
The whole thing inspired my presence on this platform.
Let's keep it going. I have concerns about how boring my projects might be, like teaching myself to sew a rolled hem or my recent restoration of an early 60s, Scottish tweed jacket, but I am just getting started with my stories. I JUST heard from one of my Hollywood heroes; with whom I will soon share a meal, so more stories will be collected.
I am hereby stating that I will continue spilling my guts here in the Phelyx Coffee Club and I hope you will continue to play with me.
I mentioned that I am in crime-solving mode. You might see credits in a documentary that include a person named, Dick Hopkins. If it was created after 1998, it is me and not my Dad, who was also Dick Hopkins. To create a separation between the performer me and the crimefighter me, I'll just be using my first name instead of Phelyx. I'll get you links as soon as contractually allowed.
I am truly grateful for your support and encouragement and I am excited to see you in the funny papers!
Love,
Phelyx
