My Magnolia is confused...

My Magnolia is confused...

Apr 09, 2021

It thought it was spring but sadly it peaked too soon. Perhaps it should've listened to Randy Brooks on this week's podcast when he talked about the seasons.

Did you have a lovely Easter? I hope you had a better one than than my Magnolia. Before I went away for a little Easter break it looked beautiful, all pink and lovely and ready to flower and then it snowed… C'est la vie!

I wonder if you've had a chance to listen to this week's podcast or watch the YouTube Videos with Ted and Randy? I wasn't able to put all of my chat with these two lovely chaps on the podcast so there is bonus material and of course you can read their slides.

Here are the links:

Pea TV Haiku Moment from James Young

Your mission for the weekend, should you choose to do it:

  • send your submissions for the latest topic: Euphony, haiku and senryu that concentrate on the sound within them. Deadline 20th April.

  • Keep sending me your 5 favourite haiku. One can be one of your own, one or more can be traditional Japanese, and at least one contemporary

  • I need community judges for the July podcast. You'd need a bit of time at the end of June to read submissions and write a commentary and then an hour in July to record audio for the podcast and a discussion with the other judges
