GO!

It's time to start writing haiku and senryu for the poetry pea!

From today you can go to our YouTube channel and write a poem for our latest monthly video prompt. This time we're staying by the sea and visiting Wales in the UK with Karen Harvey. Please leave your poem and read the others and give your fellow poets some feedback, a virtual hug.

From tomorrow, 1st May you can start to send your latest kigo haiku to myself and the team of editors, this month James Young, Robert Horrobin and Kristen Lindquist will be reading your work, at the usual email.

On Monday the latest Haiku Pea Podcast is out. A writing workshop from me, on selective realism and a wonderful reading from Kristen Lindquist. You can enjoy a walk around one of her special places in haiku form. Do come along, send me some feedback and I can pass it on to Kristen.

Your mission for the weekend, should you choose to do it:

  • Take a 20 second video in landscape mode and send it to me for Pea TV Haiku Prompts. No haiku necessary. Any Questions, please email me.

  • Start thinking about your submission for Kigo at the Haiku Pea Podcast, deadline 20th May.

Carrie Ann, I have a new bike! Guess what I'll be doing this weekend, rain or shine.

'Til next time, keep writing...

Ciao
