Going through isolation - TODO list

Going through isolation - TODO list

Mar 21, 2020

Being a student, with uni closed and online classes just flying away, leaving you with much more time than before, I really wondered on how to best exploit this free interval we are given.

So below is a list I composed for myself, it may be temporary and I might add or remove a bunch of things, but I guess it makes for a starting point.

1. Choose your podcast

The podcast might be the modern version of the radio, and "tuning in" to a few can really help you stay in touch with the latest events. It can take part in your morning routine. It is a quick way to grab some information after that cup of coffee :)

2. Customize your headphones

This might sound weird, but it is fun and really makes your headphones stand out as personalized and original. You can check out how I started on my Tumblr page right here: Personalizing my headphones.

3. Time to read some books, tip to toe.

Before saying I am stereotypical and getting old ahead of time , I want to say I also prefer the short, concise and fast way of reading on the PC/phone via surfing the web or whatever. But reading really gives a break for my eyes and especially mind. Getting away from the screen and the diversity of the web helps me clear my thoughts and organize them better. Yes, I still surf the web daily and stay in touch like that, but I have found that reading a book tip to toe puts order in all the chaos I am constantly receiving.

4. Try out some Google Experiments

Just pay it a visit online. A lot of cool applications and games to try out and can really get you out of boredom(or even better boredoom?). If you own a VR set , there a bunch of things to try too[ don't, so why not share your experience ?:) ].

5. Dig into your hobbies

This might be obvious, but when I say dig into, I mean it. Exploit it to the maximum, see what else you can do with it and how it puts your personality forward. Personally, I want to dig into comics and draw some of my favorite characters, posting them on the blog or making stickers with them for my headphones :)

Again, I might add some, but for now this really helps me and even allowed me to think of other ideas. This comes from my blog : https://caffeinegecko.blogspot.com/2020/03/going-through-isolation-todo-list.html :)

Hope this helps you as it is helping me ! :)
