I think sometimes people get set in their ways. They think there's no way people can change because of past mistakes, but they forget they can.
Everything in life offers us a different learning experience. Our choices and actions sometimes need to happen so quick that we don't always make the right choice. Should we be held to a life of that defining us? No.
Everything in life changes us. As we change we outgrow people and that means cutting them loose. Those people will always see you as they want to and convince others that you are that person. They will never see your change because they don't want to.
