3Commas ASAP DCA Bots - New Configs - Day 4

Dec 11, 2021

Hi there and welcome back,

Ok, it has been almost 48h since my last post, so lets see how my new configs have been doing with the high volatility felt recently, and for that we need to look at the deals data extracted from the 3Commas history:

Mid-Supervision Configs

These configurations, which will require at least some mid-supervision and manual action for when the price of an asset drops more than 40%, we can currently see that Scimitar is taking the lead in terms of ROI, just like it was 2 days ago, so for the time being it is still the winner of this class IMO.

Mercury vs Hammerhead: Although Hammerhead has been making more money, as it is 3,82% more expensive than Mercury, we can see that it's ROI is still not better than Mercury, but the ROI difference between the two have been shrinking, so I believe that in the long run Hammerhead will surpass the ROI of Mercury, let's wait and see... :)

Mars vs Scimitar: I'm feeling happy with the results of Scimitar, I design it to close deals faster than Mars by making a better use of the SO price points, and we're seeing exactly that, more deals closed and a better ROI since the start. The cost of the better performance from Scimitar is that the bots are 5,5% more expensive than Mars, but they currently are delivering 10% more ROI, so it is worth the investment.

Low-Supervision Configs

This is the group which I believe most of us are more focused on, mainly because what we want is not only to find some passive income, but one that does not require much maintenance or time investment as we do have other things to do than just being looking at charts or bots performance. TA Standard is therefore the config I have been using the most since I started with his videos, so the focus for my new configurations was to try to improve this battle tested configuration. And currently I see Neimoidian as the best contender for replacing my Bots with TA Standard settings, but we need a bit more time and results to claim it as a winner, because Profundity currently has less ROI but allows you to run more bots when fully covered.

TA Standard vs Profundity: Two days ago these two were head to head in terms of ROI, but as TA Standard has more price points for it's SO it has taken the lead in terms of better use of market volatility, or did it?
Well, let's take in consideration that Profundity costs 42,9% less than TA Standard settings, and the ROI difference between the two, so far, is that TA Standard is only making 7,1% more ROI with the same number of bots.
So if you take in consideration a $30k bankroll, running fully covered with TA standard you can only have 20 active bots, and with Profundity you can have 29 bots, and those 29 bots would be putting the current ROI at around 0,4%, so IMO Profundity has more potential than TA Standard when running fully covered, so let's see if in the long run it can hold true to this statement.

TA Standard vs Neimoidian: I've been enjoying the performance of Neimoidian very much, not only does it have the current best ROI in this group, 23,3% more ROI than TA Standard, but it is also 21% cheaper than TA Standard, which means if you have a $30k bankroll you can run 4 more bots than TA settings, putting the current ROI of running 24 Neimoidian bots at around 0.44%, and that ROI when compared with the current TA Standard ROI is 33.3% better, so that 10% less Max SO price deviation coverage is a good price to pay for the better ROI and for having more bots running.

Profundity vs Neimoidian: I've been very divided between these two, because in one hand with Profundity you can have more bots and be able to handle 60% price drops, but in the other you have Neimoidian which is currently only giving 0,04% better ROI when you consider a $30k bankroll running the max number of bots possible to run them fully covered.
Considering that 30k bankroll, you can have 29 Profundity bots and only 24 Neimoidian bots, so 20,8% less bots, and we all know that having more bots usually translates in being able to catch better winners in the daily market moves, so my final decision of who is the winner in the end it will come to how big your bankroll is and the long run ROI performance of these two configs. Let's wait and see.

Low Budget Configs

In this section we want to create the best configurations to take the maximum ROI from a low budget bankroll, for that the cost of the bot must be the lowest possible to allow diversity of assets in play, while also providing good ROI and allowing for at least a Mid-Supervision SO price deviation.
So far Urma v6 is delivering a better ROI if we consider the hidden angle, so let's see how things progress...

Urma V6 vs OutRider: Outrider is only 3.64% more expensive than Urma v6, but it's ROI is 16,21% better, so it looks like we have a winner here. But wait, the first thing that will strike your attention is a 20% less SO price deviation capability for the Outrider, so to be fair we need to review Urma v6 at a matching scale.
I must say that the 60% advertised by Urma v6 bot serves nothing more than just a psychological effect, because that bot 7th SO will be triggered when an asset price falls 60%, so it will barely be used, hence for me the Urma v6 maximum price deviation that I can take into consideration to keep it real is of only 38%.
That said, let's review the bots performance, so if we consider Urma v6 with only 6 SO, the cost per bot is $191, which is 48.7% cheaper than Outrider, so if we consider a $5.7k bankroll, we can run 20 Outrider bots, and 29 Urma v6 bots, putting the Urma v6 theoretical ROI of running 29 bots in 1,07%, so currently better than Outrider 0.86% ROI with only 20 bots, but of course, that is theoretical, so it would require a real test using the max number of bots for a same amount. For now let's see how it goes and what the future results will bring, and maybe Outrider will need to go through an optimization review. :)

New Advanced Configs

The 69er bots, these new configs were made with the objective of getting the max ROI out of your money, and the results are really impressing me, but it uses a new logic that I must explain before divulging the configurations, otherwise it would be very irresponsible of me, so please stay tuned to my buymeacoffee as I will go through them soon... 🤖
