One of my favourite ways to go out and shoot nature, is to walk down to the Auckland Botanical Gardens. Ya know, when we aren’t in absolute lockdown. The Gardens have such a variety of plant life that it makes it impossible for me not to get shots I absolutely love every time I go there, and I have been going there quite often since 2018 when my photography journey began.
This was one of the shots that I managed to take on one of my outings. What drew me into this particular plant was how solidly carved out of stone it looked, so perfectly pristine and shiny. I had never come across anything else like this before!
So naturally, the shot had to be taken and edited into my signature Vibrant Dark style. This would explain the title Emerald Gardens, as my mind delved deep into what it would be like to explore a garden carved purely out of stone. This plant would be among them glowing ever so vibrantly green.
