Wiser Dark Younger Bright

Wiser Dark Younger Bright

Oct 11, 2021

When life begins, we are often bright, full of color and tend to stand out. We grow wild and in any which direction we find ourselves interested in. It doesn't matter when and or where, we just grow, soak in everything thrown at us and continue being bright and full of life as time passes.

Then we get older. The color doesn't fade as the wisdom begins to set in, but instead starts to get darker and richer. The shape we take becomes more rigid as we get used to life. We take up more space but begin only facing the directions that is most useful to us. No longer wild and full of vibrant life but most efficient within our surroundings.

I took this shot as I found the direct contrast of the different color within the same plant kind of awesome. These were the thoughts flying through my mind as I began taking the shots. I chose this one out of the 10-15 shots I took as it had the best looking bokeh in the background and gave everything a mystical type of feel.
