One fashion "trend" that I have always been enamored with has been capes. Yes, Capes! Sometimes in a LARP way, but mostly in a Xanadu-Meets-LOTR way. I had first seen a capelet coat in person when I was in high school at Psycho Sisters in L5P, but it was about $50 and I was not in a very wealthy position at that time. Luckily, my best friend had bought it and I was able to borrow it from time to time! I think this is where my true love for capelets began. Today, all of my coats either are capelets or they have detachable capes that come with them. With that being said, this past year I have been keeping a very keen eye on something different: cape dresses. With cottagecore, fairycore, and vintage style becoming an even bigger fad since covid struck, I'm genuinely surprised that I am not seeing more of these on my timeline from fashion accounts and bloggers.
