This is my first official post here so let me tell you a bit about myself and what I opened this page for.
My name is Snezana, but as you can see, this is not really the easiest name in the world lol, so I just recently created my artist name “Soullana”, under which I’ll share all my future content and art.
I’m almost 35 years old single mom to a little monster (Lanh, 3 years old), born in Slovenia, but moved to Spain, canary islands, almost 13 years ago.
Even though I’ve done many things over my working years, one thing that stuck with me always is art, but I never had a true belief that I could ever become an artist or even have enough creativity to be one.
All of this changed last year when one of my beautiful friends, she’s my soul sister, encouraged me to start selling my art and go after this, at that time “hidden” or better said subconscious, dream.
I stated to create every day following her daily art challenges that she was posting in her FB art group (Awakened HeARTists) and this helped me build my confidence, open my creative force and really got me to see that small possibility of making this dream of mine a reality.
I guess this is how all dreams come to fruition, right? Small steps taken every day into the direction we want to go.
So that’s my short backstory and here we are... almost a year later.
While I’m writing this, it got me thinking how far I already taken this dream of mine. I’ve created almost every single day for this past year, I earned 4 figures from my passion (Is it enough? Nope, but it’s a solid start!), I collaborated with other artists and a first collaboration crystal deck is almost ready for print, I submitted my art in competitions, I have my own shop with over 40 sales and 9 beautiful reviews (might not seem much , but I’m so proud of it!), I’ve shipped my art all across the globe from various states in the US, Canada, South Africa, France, Ireland, UK and more and now I’m here on this platform about to build a soul centered community of art lovers and other creatives while I’ll also take you on my own soul journey and all it’s ups and downs. What a crazy journey right?!
I’ll will wrap this long post up with saying that I hope you’ll join me on my journey where we can share a space to grow, support each other and enjoy art and the process of creation together.
